Video production projects request form

Digital Learning Technologies (DLT) offers a full suite of video production services ideal for creating professional-quality online modules, interviews, promotional videos, and other presentation projects. Project content can be recorded in our green screen studio or on location with mobile professional lighting. DLT also provides editing and post-production services, including arranging for closed captioning. Visit our Video Production Services page to access the full list of our projects.

Scheduling

DLT requires pre-scheduling for all video recordings in order to ensure the availability of equipment and staff. To maximize facility availability, the studio is available for six blocks per business day. They are as follows:

  • 8:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.
  • 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
  • 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.
  • 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
  • 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.

While exceptions will be made in rare circumstances, we encourage scheduling during one of these time periods. Same week filming requests will  be accommodated only if staffing is available as determined by the project supervisor.

The ability to conduct field shoots will be determined case-by-case, based on resources and logistics.

Project expectations and completion time

A project timeline will be determined by the project supervisor based off of clients’ needs, project complexity, and available resources at the time of project acceptance. To determine the project timeline, the project supervisor will ask for the following information:

  • Does the project need to be completed by a specific date?
  • How many minutes or hours of completed content do you anticipate?
  • Is there a specific style of video you'd like? (Visit DLT Video Production Services for examples.)
  • What is the earmarked budget for the project?
  • What type of branding/graphics/animation needs to be generated for the video?
  • How will the final project be delivered?

A project estimate and terms will be generated based on the supplied answers.

No-shows and cancellations

DLT reserves the right to charge up to the full value of a job order for no-shows and for cancellations taking place less than 24 hours before the start time of a scheduled shoot. No-shows and cancellation fees cover total work time leading up to the no-show or cancellation.

Pricing

Pricing for video production projects varies greatly depending on each project request’s needs and scope. A pricing estimate will be generated and approved by the customer prior to moving forward on a project. For more information on project pricing, please fill out the form below.

Payment

DLT requires a University of Utah chartfield to start a video recording or service. A journal entry will be generated using this information and our video work will be charged to it. Your chartfield will not be charged until work is complete and delivered.

Note: DLT accepts university purchasing card payments, however, you will still need to enter a chartfield to submit your request. If you are planning on paying by card, please call 801-581-6744 to give your card information after you have submitted your request. When submitting payment information, please reference the Zendesk ticket number that you receive in your confirmation email. Your provided chartfield will not be charged if you provide university purchasing card information. Purchasing card information will not be shorted on file for future requests.
